Our Mission
El Paso, TX is experiencing an animal overpopulation crisis. Trev’s Ranch is dedicated to assisting El Paso Animal Services to save more lives and gradually address the root cause of the overpopulation problem.
Utilizing a holistic approach to animal welfare, Trev’s Ranch provides administrative support for spay/neuter programs, fostering and logistical support for transporting animals from El Paso to reputable rescues in areas with higher adoption rates, as well as educational programs that promote socialization of the animals and empathy and responsibility for pet ownership.
We prioritize critically endangered mothers and their puppies, as well as long term shelter animals that have been overlooked for no other reason than the overwhelming number of options for potential adopters.
Our mission is to alleviate the overwhelming burden of overpopulation on El Paso Animal Services, reduce animal suffering, enhance the chances of animals finding loving forever homes, and provide partnering rescues with well-adjusted, happy, and healthy animals.
What do we do?
Since May 2024, Trev’s Ranch has given more than 500 shelter pets a second chance - rescuing, transporting, and helping them on their journeys home.
Trev’s Ranch isn’t a typical rescue — we’re more of a support organization. We support our community through transport, fostering, and advocacy.
Our primary goal is helping pets get where they need to go. We foster animals before their transport journey, and then transport them to rescues ourselves or with the help of other transport organizations like Dog Is My Copilot, Inc.
We foster beloved family members when their owners fall on hard times, so their pets don’t have to spend time in the shelter. We connect families with the resources to stop having accidental litters, and help the last litter find homes.
When we aren’t transporting, fostering, and networking, we’re advocating for animals already in the shelter, especially nursing mothers, orphaned babies, and long-stay and At Risk dogs.

Rescue
At Trev’s Ranch, rescue is where the journey begins. We work closely with overcrowded shelters to identify at-risk pets — especially those who have waited too long or are too young to thrive in the shelter. By removing them from stressful, overburdened facilities and welcoming them into a calm, nurturing setting, we give each pet the care and attention they need to decompress, rebuild trust, and begin their next chapter.

Decompression
After rescue comes rest. We believe in the power of decompression — giving dogs the time, space, and stability they need to recover physically and emotionally. Whether they’ve experienced neglect, stress, or simply the chaos of shelter life, our structured yet peaceful environment allows each dog to rebuild confidence, socialize at their own pace, and receive individualized care.

Finding Homes
Every few weeks, our journey continues. Through trusted partnerships with reputable rescue organizations, Trev’s Ranch coordinates safe, reliable transport for dogs who are ready for their next step. With health checks, full vaccination records, microchips, spay/neuter, we ensure each animal is fully prepared and vetted before transfer, ending the cycle of overpopulation and setting each life up for success.
