Meet Butters

This girl is a survivor. We first met her as a tiny puppy in 2024. She and her sisters were abandoned at 6 weeks old, left in an apartment. They were adopted quickly.

Butters was found a month ago out in El Paso County, skin and bones. She’s been surviving for a long time, and she’s finally ready to thrive.

Butters is timid at first, but she loves and loves and loves her friends. She wants to play with other dogs but can forget how to dog sometimes. She loves to play fetch by herself. It’s adorable.

Butters can be protective of her food (which we can understand - she nearly starved to death) so she should be fed separately or in her kennel. She would be happy as the only dog, too.

Butters has had a hard past. Help us give her a better future.
