Meet Pretzel!

Pretzel and his brother Buster arrived at El Paso Animal Services after surviving a horrific car accident, scared and confused. Both dogs were already neutered, microchipped, and clearly loved, but attempts to reach their owner went unanswered.

Then came the twist: a local hospital called to say a man had just woken up after fighting for his life, and the first thing he asked about was his dogs: Pretzel and Buster.

We stepped in to care for them while their dad recovered, giving them a quiet, safe place to land. Sadly, recovery setbacks followed and contact was lost. After many months of waiting and continued efforts to reconnect them, it’s become clear Pretzel’s owner is no longer able to reclaim him.

After eight months of waiting, Pretzel is finally ready for his second chance.

And what a second chance dog he is.

At just 1.5 years old, Pretzel is pure joy in dog form - playful, social, and always ready for fun. He loves toys, running around with dog friends of all sizes (literally everyone is his friend), and believes life is simply better when it’s playtime. He thrives around people, loves affection, and would be happiest in an active home with car rides, walks, and fetch.

Fully vaccinated, neutered, and microchipped, Pretzel is ready to trade waiting for belonging. After everything he’s been through, he deserves a forever home where the fun never stops and the love never disappears.

If you’re looking for a happy, energetic companion who will keep you laughing and moving, Pretzel is ready to meet you…hugs and kisses included.
