Meet Pretzel and Buster

These boys came into El Paso Animal Services as strays after a horrific car accident. They were scared, especially Buster, who shut down in the shelter. Both dogs were microchipped, already neutered, and clearly loved — but efforts to contact their owner went unanswered.

Then one day, the shelter got a call from a local hospital: a man had just woken up after fighting for his life… and the first thing he asked for was Pretzel and Buster.

Trev’s Ranch stepped in to care for them while their dad recovered, offering them a quiet, loving space to heal. Unfortunately, his recovery was filled with setbacks, and over time, contact was lost.

We’re still working to find their dad and reunite them — and we haven’t given up.

While Pretzel and Buster aren’t exactly best friends, they’re both enjoying time at the ranch while we search for answers. They’re not currently available for adoption, but if reunification isn’t possible, they may eventually need new homes.

For now, they remind us why Trev’s Ranch exists: to give good dogs a safe place to land when life gets hard — and to hope for a happily ever after.
